I have a solid brick home (plaster directly on top of brick) and after paying $150/mo for gas this winter I started doing some research… unfortunately what I found is that for a solid brick house, the only thing you can really do is make sure you have enough insulation in the atic and make sure your windows and doors are sealed properly. I was watching DIY the other day though… and they showed some kind of paint addative you mix with your paint before painting the walls that actually keeps heat in in the winter and out in the summer. Next time I paint, I’m definitely looking into that some more!
